ACE FOLDING STOCKS
If you are looking for a high quality, heavy duty, folding or fixed skeleton stock, ACE LTD. may have just the thing. ACE LTD. began producing folding stocks for the AK series rifles in June of 1997 and has since expanded their line to include both fixed and folding stocks for the following rifles; AK-47-Chinese (stamped), MAK-90 (stamped and milled), Bulgarian (milled), SA-93, SLR 95, SLR 96, Egyptian Maadi (stamped), SA58M, Romanian, Yugoslavian (stamped), DAEWOO DR200 and DR300, H&K 91, 93, 94, MP-5, and PDW (SP-89). They also have folding stocks for the AR-15/M-16 series, as long as they are equipped with alternate recoil systems. In the near future the company has plans to expand their folding stock line to include the Benelli M1 & M3, Remington 870, and Mossberg 500 shotguns as well as various other rifles. The folding stocks are precision CNC machined from aircraft grade aluminum, bead blasted and hard anodized flat black. For a limited time the buttstocks are FNMI U.S.A. made for the “MINIMI” M249 S.A.W., which are also flat black anodized. A special feature unique to the ACE LTD. folding stock is the modular design. Using this design, the stock can be made to fold either to the right or the left. Any of their stocks can be attached to any style receiver block. ACE stocks “lock-up” with no movement in either the folded or extended position with a provision for wear so that it will continue to have a rock solid “lock-up” for thousands of cycles. The buttstock also features a flip-up shoulder rest that locks it in place. The top tube has a plastic “overtube” for a comfortable cheek weld in any climate. Two lengths of stocks are available, standard and long with custom lengths available at additional cost. Also included is a 1 1/4” universal sling swivel that can be mounted on either side of most receiver blocks. A sling clip hole is provided on the top of the butt to carry the weapon in the ready position. Last but not least, the stocks are all covered by a lifetime warranty. AR-15/M-16 9MM ADAPTER BLOCKS
A new company called CROSSFIRE is now making a quality product that shooters have been waiting a long time for. The product is a 9mm-adapter block for the AR-15/M-16 series of rifles that allows the use of Colt 9mm mags. The adapter is a one-piece unit that locks firmly into a standard AR receiver but can be easily removed. The best part is that the new unit does not require the host lower receiver to be modified in any way! It is installed and removed without the use of tools and is held in place by the use of spring loaded detents. It stays firmly locked in place while allowing the shooter to easily remove the 9mm mags. Another innovation is that the user retains the use of the original rifles’ magazine release. The shooter can use the original magazine release to drop the 9mm magazines without dropping the adapter block out of the gun. The adapter block is made entirely from steel and has a black moly-resin coating finish to match the rifle. Other features include a built-in feed ramp, bolt hold-open feature and a replaceable laser-cut ejector. The unit is covered by a full warranty. If it breaks, return it and a new one will be on its way to you. This great new product is released just in time for all of those 9mm uppers that are hitting the market. For more information contact Crossfire, Dept. SAR, 4372 Neff Lake Road, Brooksville, FL 34601. Phone: 1-352-796-2628. Fax: 1-352-796-5063. Their e-mail address is xfire@atlantic.net. As this goes to press, Crossfire has informed me that it will also release another adapter block unit that will accept 9mm Sten Gun magazines. SAR will keep you informed of this and other new products from Crossfire.
