VARMINT SPECIAL .223 SUPPRESSOR FROM SOUND TECH
The latest innovation to come from Sound Tech is a long, relatively thin .223 (5.56x45mm NATO) can designed to work on a varmint rifle (such as Remington’s 700 VS in .223 shown in the photo). The sound level is reported to be a mild 134 dB 1 meter from the suppressor’s muzzle. This is with M855 ball ammo. This measurement is considerably less than the blast from an unsuppressed.22 LR rifle which is typically measured at around 140 dB. While bullet flight noise is still present, this does apparently not alarm varmints to any great degree. The new suppressor has a diameter of 1.375-inch, is 9 inches in length and weighs just 19 ounces. It is constructed of 4130 CM steel and is welded together. The new suppressor is threaded 13/16 X 20 left hand. Retail for the new suppressor is just $485.00 which includes barrel threading and test firing. SEPTEMBER 11 MEMORIAL BOOK
Reuters, the global information, news and technology group, and Prentice Hall, an imprint of Pearson Education, has published September 11, A Testimony, a pictorial record of the events of September 11 and the reaction to them around the globe. STREAMLIGHT INTRODUCES VARIABLE INTENSITY ACCESSORY
Streamlight, Inc., a manufacturer of high-powered flashlights, has announced the introduction of the Digital Flasher/Dimmer Tailcap for its SL-20X™ and SL-35X™ flashlights. The Digital Flasher/Dimmer Tailcap is ideal for law enforcement because it enables users to adjust the beam from a high-intensity, brilliant stream of light to low-level lighting. This ability to digitally control the light intensity broadens the applications for both the SL-20X and SL-35X flashlights. Also notable is the flash mode of the Digital Flasher/Dimmer Tailcap. This strobe feature is ideal for use in traffic control situations where extended run times are needed.
