MP-5 MAGSHUTE MAGAZINE-WELL FUNNEL
There is now a new product available for competitors, professionals or anyone using an MP-5 that needs to speed up the magazine changing process. The product is called the MagShute and is a magazine-well funnel to guide a fresh magazine into the magazine-well. The MagShute requires no permanent modifications to the host firearm and speeds up reloads by as much as 40%. It is CAD/CAM manufactured in lightweight aluminum alloy and is available only in black; the color matching the HK black very well. The new MagShute allows the use of all magazines originally designed for the MP-5 including the 15 and 30-round curved, the 30-round straight and the Beta-C Mag. It attaches to the gun with a single screw which goes through the hole in the sling clip on the side of the MP-5 magazine-well. HECKLER & KOCH DEFENSE BEGINS DELIVERY OF NEW HK416
The enhanced HK416 carbine and rifle system developed by Heckler & Koch Defense is now being delivered to military units and federal law enforcement agencies on a priority basis. It’s not yet available to other segments of the law enforcement community. A number of HK416 carbines are reportedly already in the hands of American military forces fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The HK416 is a 5.56mm caliber weapon that uses an HK proprietary operating system originally developed for and used in other Heckler & Koch models such as the G36. Recognized for their reliability and ruggedness, HK G36 rifles and carbines are used by the militaries of Germany, Spain, and Norway as well as the police and security forces of many countries. The HK416 design also offers a proprietary Heckler & Koch free-floating rail system that is removable without tools and allows existing accessories like lights, aiming devices, and hand grips to be easily installed. An HK 40mm side-loading grenade launcher can also be added by the operator without the use of tools. The HK416 features the famous HK cold-hammer forged barrel for an intended bore service life of 20,000+ rounds of firing. An improved bolt and buffer system contributes to added reliability. The HK416 is available in four configurations, including carbine (10 and 14.5 inch barrels) and rifle (16.5 and 20 inch barrels) lengths. HORNADY INTRODUCES TWO NEW AMMUNITION PRODUCTS
Hornady Manufacturing has introduced two new kinds of ammunition that should be available by the time that you read this. The first is their new SST Shotgun Slug. The new slug round features their proven SST bullet sabotted in a 12 gauge shotgun round. The new round allows unheard of accuracy and terminal performance to slug users. The super-accurate bullet delivers sub 2-inch groups at 100 yards and the flattest trajectory on the market. The polymer tip of the SST bullet helps it slice through the air, minimizing drop and wind drift. When the bullet strikes the target the tip initiates violent expansion, transferring its energy payload to the target. The new round will have a muzzle velocity of 2,000 fps and muzzle energy of 2,664 ft-lbs. It will be packed 5-rounds to the box. The next new product is a new kind of ammunition for a new kind of fighting. Tactical specialists in the military and law enforcement communities have special needs and rely on specialized weapon platforms that are concealable, lightweight, accurate and lethal. Hornady’s new HK 4.6mm ammunition is specially designed to provide the accuracy and lethality needed for today’s conflict. OPS² INTRODUCES NEW RINGS AND MOUNTING RAILS
Operational Products Supply and Services (OPS²) have just introduced their new line of high quality optic and light mounting rings and rails. The new rings can be had in 7075 T6 Aluminum, 6al4v Titanium with Robar Roguard finish or 4142ht Steel also with Robar Roguard finish. Other features include an integral recoil lug with .204w X .118d dimensions, an integral clamping shaft machined from the same material as the ring and custom made, hardened tool steel cap screws. The clamp rail as well as the jam nut also matches the ring material except for the aluminum ring which uses custom 304 stainless bolts and stainless steel heli-coils which exceed 120 in/lbs. of strength. The rings are machined completely off bore centerline from the same bar stock and are serialized. OPS² is also offering high quality mounting rails for attaching their rings.
